Demonstration of Emi-lift®
Britton Price have now completed the installation and commissioning of their first emi-passenger lift at one of Anchor Trusts Care Homes. This revolutionary passenger lift has been designed around the needs of those living with dementia and their carers. We think this is the first time that the actual needs of the passenger have been incorporated in to the actual lift design and layout. Every aspect of how those living with dementia interface with a lift has been considered.
At a special event held at Beechfield Lodge, Salford leading players from the Care Home sector were shown the new lift in operation and had the opportunity to examine how all the design considerations had actually been incorporated into the actual lift. Launch of Emi-lift®
Britton Price have launched what is believed to be the first passenger lift to have been designed around the needs of those living with dementia and their carers. Every aspect of how those living with dementia interface with a lift has been considered. Following consultation with the Dementia Services Development Centre, University of Stirling and our own care home customers we believe that our Registered Design* is a major breakthrough in EMI unit design. We have won the contract to provide Craegmoor with routine maintenance and breakdown cover for their moving and handling equipment. Craegmoor are the country's leading independent provider of support for people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental illnesses as well as older people.
